Daffodils / Paperwhites / Narcissus
The perfect spring bulbs for Southern gardens! These beauties are reliable, cheerful, and practically burst with promise. Just keep the bulbs dry until planting… then let nature do what it’s always done best.
10 Bulbs/ 2 Varieties for a total of 20 Bulbs per gift box.
• Plant bulbs with about 2 inches of soil above the “shoulder” of the bulb
• Add 1 inch of sand underneath for drainage
• Water well after planting
• After blooming, fertilize by sprinkling a bulb fertilizer over the bed and watering it in
• Look for a 10-10-20 fertilizer formula
• Allow the foliage to wither naturally—those leaves feed next year’s blooms
• Avoid overwatering while bulbs are dormant
Want fresh color indoors? These bulbs can also be “forced” in water for a charming winter or early-spring display.
• Choose healthy bulbs for best results
• Use a container tall enough to support stems (bulbs grown without soil can flop otherwise!)
• Specialty forcing vases work beautifully, or simply fill a tall vase with pebbles or glass beads
• Set bulbs pointed side up, keeping the bulb above water with just the roots reaching moisture
• Place in bright, indirect light, and keep the water level consistent
• Once leaves and stems appear, move to brighter light and keep temps around 65°F
• Rotate occasionally so stems grow straight
• After chilling, most bulbs bloom in 2–3 weeks—just in time to brighten your space
